Selby Heritage Zone - Open Days - Volunteers

I hope you have seen our Selby Heritage Open Days which are part of the Selby Town High Street Heritage Action Zone project. We are looking for volunteers for a number of events, but in particular you may want to take part in our ‘Streets for All’ Audit Events. The audit sessions for volunteers are to be held on 12th, 14th, and 16th September in the morning (10am) and afternoon (2pm). (Please note, there’s a bit of walking about and standing).

Heritage Open Days take place nationally over two weeks from 10 to 19 September. It is England’s largest grass roots heritage festival involving over 40,000 volunteers and 5,000 events. It is coordinated nationally by the National Trust with support from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery. The Selby Heritage Open Days programme has been developed by a number of local interest groups and supporting partners that includes the HSHAZ.

If you have an interest in volunteering with us, please do get in touch through our website, or by sending us an email to SelbyHAZ@selby.gov.uk. If you cannot join us for one of our organised sessions, it would be lovely if you could find some time to take part in this survey activity as we would love to hear your ideas about Selby’s Streets. Please get in contact if you wish to take part, and we can arrange for a short briefing session and I can provide you with the survey.
