Young Riccall resident set to branch out
Posted Tue, Feb 16th 2010, 12:53Callum Finn presented his business ideas to Riccall Parish Council in February. He has set up his own business, aiming to make furniture out of trees that have to be felled. Inspired by the felling of a huge Chestnut tree in Riccall, Callum took his ideas to the 'Selby Dragon Tamers' competition, presenting to around 200 business men and women and coming home to Riccall with second prize. A student at Barlby High School, Callum was thrilled to inform the Council that his school won both first and second prize in the competition.
The Council was very impressed with Callum's ideas and presentation and is going to ask him to give an update later in the year.
