We need a Councillor
Posted Wed, May 4th 2011, 12:17There is currently a vacancy for one Councillor on Riccall Parish Council.

To be qualified to become a Riccall Parish Councillor, you must be 18 years of age or over and
* be a local government elector for Riccall, or
*during the whole of the 12 months preceding the day of co-option occupied as owner or tenant any land or other premises in Riccall, or
*your prinicipal or only place of work during those 12 months has been in Riccall, or
*You have during the whole of those 12 months resided in Riccall or within 3 miles of it.
You are disqualified from being a Parish Councillor if
*you are employed by Riccall Parish Council
*you are the subject of a bankruptcy restriction order or interim order or
*you have within five years before the day of co-option been convicted of any offence and have had passed on you a sentence of imprisonment of at least three months (whether suspended or not) without the option of a fine, or
*you have been found guilty of corrupt or illegal practices or are responsible for incurring unlawful expenditure and the court has ordered your disqualification.
