We have no further news on the progress of this application for the above development. The developer has been given extended dates to try and resolve issues raised by statutory consultees. The application is now being dealt with by planning officer Thomas Webster.

At last nights Parish Council meeting, members decided to hold a public meeting for the community to discuss concerns over the proposals. The developers and relevent authorities will be invited to the meeting and it is hoped that they will attend although they are under no obligation to do so. The date and venue are to be arranged so please WATCH THIS SPACE for further news. Posters will also be displayed on the notice boards.
It is essential that residents also send in their own comments and concerns to Selby DC Planning Officer r.hardingham@selby.gov.uk to convey the number of residents affected by this proposal-the planning reference number is 2016/0318/OUT and we ask that you please copy the PC in for our information to clerk@riccallparishcouncil.org.ukC
Thank you to those residents who have already submitted comments.

The developer is still trying to overcome issues raised by statutory consultees and Selby DC are therefore unable to confirm when the application will be decided. The dates will be put on this website once we have been informed.
Regular updates will be placed here for the new roundabout at Barlby:
After several weeks of planning Howard Civil Engineering Ltd are ready to commence works for Barratt Homes to construct the new roundabout on the existing A19/A163 Market Weighton Road junction and make some changes to the existing York Road junction.
The works will commence in earnest on the 19th September but we will be carrying out some advance hedge removal works this coming week commencing 12th September.
Please be advised that any hedges that are removed in order to construct the roundabout will be replaced by new hedge planting around the boundary of the new roundabout.
The works are expected to take approximately 23 weeks, with completion early March 2017.
The aim of this regular newsletter is to keep you up to date with progress; advising you of specific periods of roadworks that might affect your usual journeys.
Once we have removed the hedge and trees we will be establishing our office and material storage compound along with a car parking area for our employees.
The first few weeks of work will concentrate on constructing the areas of the new roundabout that do not impinge on the current junction and therefore should have little affect on traffic.
You will notice, however, road works signs and cones to protect our workforce and advise you of a temporary enforceable reduction in the speed limit of 60 mph to 40 mph, again to protect our workforce.
Safety for children and the wider public
