Sandra Botham - Clerk & Finance Officer

Originally from South Yorkshire, I have lived in Riccall for over 30 years and have three children.

My interests are spending time with family and friends and gardening. We have been involved for some time with the Charity 'Hearing Dogs for the Deaf' and currently home two former hearing dogs, Missy and Treacle.

As Clerk and Finance Officer, I am always available to speak to residents about any concerns/ difficulties and will do everything that I can to resolve problems and take information to the Council for its consideration. I tend to be in the office at the Regen Centre on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you do not catch me, then please do leave me a telephone message or email me – I will always get back to you.

Gavin Wright Web

Gavin Wright - Lengthsman

I have lived in the village for a number of years and work for Riccall Parish Council as a Lengthsman - which means that I complete lots of maintenance jobs, particularly at Riccall Park. These days, I choose to spend some of my time up in Orkney and some in Riccall but you will see me around painting the skate ramps, repairing equipment and keeping things ticking over with the play equipment.

Steve Golton

Steve Golton - Litter Collector

I've lived in Riccall for most of my life - on and off - since moving here from Kelfield aged 11. I think that when you've seen a village grow and prosper over the years, it's natural to feel close to the community and its people. From there, it is a very small step to do something positive to look after the village and make it a better place to live, which is why I'm doing this job. Having had a long and illustrious career on the railways, this role is somewhat of a departure for me. I've very little experience of litter colection, but I'm sure I'll pick it up as I go along...

Glenda 2

Glenda Foster – Administration Assistant

Prior to my post with Riccall Parish Council I worked in Human Resources within the Education Sector in York for 15 years.  I finished working at the University of York at the beginning of 2017 when my baby boy was born. I currently live in Brayton, but have also lived in Bishopthorpe and Liverpool, where I studied at University. I am a big animal lover and support local animal charities. Being a vegetarian, I enjoy cooking ‘vegetarian and vegan’ meals.  Before I became a mum, I was keen on cycling, yoga, pilates, aqua-aerobics and reading. I’m looking forward to having a bit more time to spend on my hobbies again in the near future!

Glenda works part time in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays And will be happy to help with enquiries. Email:
