Update 05.06.2023: We have been issued with the following advice from North Yorkshire Council.

"Please could you encourage residents with any further complaints about odour from Escrick Environment Services to contact the Environment Agency, as they are the regulating body. 

The EA can be contacted via their hotline on 0800 80 70 60 or via e-mail: enquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk. "

The Parish Council have already notified the agency, but residents are still advised to report any complaints independently.

It has been brought to our attention that there is an offensive smell in the area. We have notified our local North Yorkshire Councillor who has passed our concerns on to the Environment team at NYC for investigation.
