My wife and I and our four children moved to Yorkshire in 1991 to pursue a career with the National Farmers Union. We have been fortunate to have lived in Riccall since 1998. All of our children have flown the nest but return regularly with our ten grandchildren.

I retired from the National Farmers Union in May 2020 and keep busy working part time on a local farm, along with managing and participating in Rural Events such as PYO strawberries, Pumpkin Festivals and Christmas Events. I formed part of the team who designed and ran the Harrogate “Santa at the showground" event in 2020 which was all Covid 19 secure of course!

My wife and I love our village and enjoy walking all over the local area as well as trying to become better gardeners. I am a hopelessly committed Ipswich Town supporter and also enjoy playing bowls at the Riccall Bowls Club.

I was co opted onto the Parish Council in January 2021 and see this as a privilege and opportunity to serve the local community.
