Re: Potential strike action waste contractors

You may be aware of reports circulating online and in the media about potential strike action by our waste contractors Urbaser. The trade union representing some of the waste collection workforce have served notice of the intention to undertake strike action on a Tuesday and Friday commencing on 27 June. We’re working closely with Urbaser to minimise any impact on waste and recycling collection services on the proposed strike days. 

Residents are advised to present their waste as usual on their regular collection day. If there are any changes to collections we will advise you and share updates on our website and via our other channels of communication however we do not currently anticipate an impact on services.
